Teens could be exposed to many drugs at an early age. Sometimes by friends, family or even at parties. Some of these drugs include:
Hallucinogens- They work by producing sensory hallucinations in users involving any of the five senses.
Inhalants- Usually in the form of household products such as; gasoline, nail polish remover, glue etc.
Narcotics- under this subheading there are many different types of drugs including; cocaine, morphine, and heroine.
Tobacco- Most teens think that smoking cigarettes is not a drug, But in fact Tobacco includes nicotine which is a highly addictive substance.
Stimulants- Stimulants increase the alertness of the central nervous system, and are highly addictive.
Cannabis- also known as marijuana; could be smoked, inhaled through vapor or consumed in the form of tea or brownies.
